Understanding Race in D.C.

  • Central Union Baptist Church 4401 Foote Street Northeast Washington, DC, 20019 United States (map)

As a diverse church that seeks to understand the causes of segregation throughout the history of the church, we are partnering with several other churches in the District for this event which is sure to be impactful in helping us understand ways in which the church has been complicit in segregation. We will hear from well qualified speakers about the eras of slavery, reconstruction, and civil rights and how it connects to the church and Washington, D.C. We invite you to join us as we seek to raise awareness and stir our hearts for justice within the church. Click here for more details and to register.
