From the time of the Apostles to today, Christians have laid out central beliefs in brief, definitive statements. Our Statement of Faith summarizes essential Christian beliefs, shows unity in Christ, and guards the church from error. All who join Redeemer City Church are required to affirm the Statement of Faith. Once we as members agree to the statement, we are responsible for believing and living in accordance with it.
Furthermore, we also hold to certain theological distinctives, which by nature, are distinct to us as a local church and distinguish us from other churches in Washington, DC. Complete affirmation of these theological distinctives is not required for membership. However, these are theological convictions based on scripture which we follow in our teaching.
