Redeemer
Kids

Redeemer Kids exists to partner with parents to make disciples of Jesus who will transform the world around them. We do more than provide childcare so parents can attend our Sunday morning gatherings.

Our focus for children’s ministry at Redeemer City Church is to disciple the next generation.

SUNDAY EXPERIENCE FOR KIDS AT REDEEMER CITY CHURCH

We offer Redeemer Kids classes for children ages 2-6 years old twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. We ask children to attend the first part of the worship service with their family until they are dismissed to their class for the duration of the service. In every class, children will pray, sing, memorize Scripture, hear a Bible story, participate in activities and/or crafts that connect to the Bible story, and learn about missionaries throughout our country and around the world.

For children of any age who will be staying in the main service, a kid’s sermon worksheet is available every Sunday. This worksheet features the sermon topic, Bible passage reference, a key Bible verse, fill-in-the-blank key points from the sermon, and a related coloring picture.

REDEEMER KIDS CURRICULUM

Our current curriculum is The Gospel Project for Kids. This curriculum was developed by Lifeway Christian Resources, and it takes kids on a Christ-centered journey through Scripture from Genesis to Revelation. Through use of this Biblically-sound curriculum, children will learn what the Bible says, love and worship the God of the Bible through what they learn, and see how this connects to the mission of the Gospel. Every lesson (whether from the Old Testament or New) features a Christ Connection that connects the truths of the Bible story to Jesus Christ and our need for a Savior.

YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY

Our children’s ministry team has been screened with background checks to provide a safe environment. As an added level of safety, at least two adults will be with the children at all times while in Redeemer Kids classes. When you check in your child(ren) for Redeemer Kids, they will be given a name tag with a unique identification code, which will be used during child pick-ups after service.

FAMILY WORSHIP SUNDAYS

On specified Sundays each month (1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of the month), children will stay for the entirety of the main service. We believe it to be helpful and encouraging for families to worship together as a means for parents to live out God’s admonishment to raise children up in the Lord. Family Worship Sundays also provide a great opportunity to discuss topics from the sermon and song lyrics as a family after church.

INFANTS & TODDLERS

Children of all ages are always welcome in our main worship gathering. A cry room (with live streaming of the sermon) is available, primarily as a resource for nursing mothers who wish to have a quiet place to feed their baby, without missing the sermon. While not in use by nursing mothers, parents of infants and toddlers can use this room as desired for naps, soothing, etc.

AT REDEEMER, WE VALUE CHILDREN AS PART OF THE CHURCH FAMILY

Children are a gift from God to us and we work hard to engage them in the life of the church. The kids of Redeemer City Church bring an energy and joy to the rest of the church body that reminds us of life in our church. Our prayer is that as we make disciples of the children God has entrusted to Redeemer City Church, they will come to understand the character of God and walk in the goodness of His grace at an early age.
