MISSIONAL Communities

Our missional communities typically consist of 10-20 people who do life together in order to gather and build relationship with one another, grow in Christ together, and go on mission together toward a particular people group. In doing so, our missional communities are the primary means through which we seek to live out our mission: to be a family that makes disciples of Jesus and transforms the world. There are three spaces that make up the missional community environment.

Family Gatherings (Gather)

Family gatherings take place once a month. In this space, we build familial relationships with each other by sharing a meal together, discussing a biblical narrative in a way that engages people at any point in their faith journey, planning how we will live together in our shared mission toward a particular people group, and spending time in prayer.

Discipleship Gatherings (Grow)

Discipleship gatherings are small, same-gender groups of about 3-4 people who meet anywhere from 2-4 times per month. These gatherings are meant to be much more than a weekly event on the calendar. They are groups of people who are learning to grow and follow Jesus and do life together by devoting themselves to one another through study, prayer, and accountability. The hope is that these discipleship gatherings would form out of relationships being built in our family gatherings.

Missional Scatterings (Go)

Missional scatterings are opportunities that each missional community plans together during their family gathering each month to meet the needs of the people group they are intentionally seeking to reach. The nature of these missional scatterings is highly dependent on the people group with whom the community is seeking to share the love of Christ. These missional scatterings are likely the best space to invite a friend in to experience the missional community and see the body of Christ at work.
